We firmly believe that this union is not in the best interests of you, our community or most importantly the residents, who we serve together.  During the next few weeks, we will be talking with you about the many reasons why most people today, when given the choice, say NO to unions.  All we ask is that you take the time to look past the union’s sales pitch, and get both sides of the story. 

We will give you facts about things the union doesn’t like to talk about, like exactly how much it would cost you to be a union member, how many rules you would have to follow as a union member, the many  risks of negotiations, the possibility of union strikes, and the many other serious consequences of unionization.  In the end, it will be your decision whether or not you want this union.  But we believe that the more you learn about this union, the less you will want anything to do with it.

During the next few days, we will be talking to the Labor Board in an effort to work out the details for a secret ballot election to decide this issue.  I will keep you posted on further developments.

Creemos firmemente que el sindicato no trabaja por sus intereses, los de la comunidad o, más importante aún, por los residentes, a quienes brindamos nuestros servicios juntos. Durante las próximas semanas, hablaremos con usted sobre las muchas razones por las cuales hoy se les dio a la mayoría de las personas la opción de decirle NO a los sindicatos. Sólo le pedimos que se tome su tiempo para conocer el discurso de venta del sindicato, y poder así conocer ambas caras de la historia.
      Le contaremos los hechos de cosas sobre las cuales el sindicato no quiere hablar, como por ejemplo cuánto le costaría a usted exactamente ser miembro del sindicato, cuántas reglas tendría usted que cumplir como miembro del sindicato, todos los riesgos de las negociaciones, la posibilidad de paros del sindicato y muchas otras consecuencias graves de la sindicalización. Finalmente, usted deberá decidir si desea o no a este sindicato. Pero creemos que cuanto más aprenda sobre el mismo, menos deseará tener contacto con éste.
